Do you want a chance to see your film on the big screen?
\nWe\u2019re putting together a shorts collection and we want to watch your film. We\u2019ll pick our favorites and show them on Monday, November 17<\/strong>. Time TBD (somewhere around 8 & 9pm).<\/p>\n

We believe in the big-screen experience and feel that it is important that auteurs know what their films look like on screen. That\u2019s why we\u2019re opening our big theater up to local filmmakers \u2014 students, professionals, or weekend zombie warriors \u2014 for one night. And without a submission fee!<\/p>\n

How to get involved:<\/p>\n

Get your film to us by Friday, October 31 @ 6pm<\/strong>. (We extended the deadline from the 24th.)<\/p>\n

Drop your short off at the box office from 10am to 8pm M\u2013F (see our film schedule for weekend hours). Bring them on a disk or jump drive (drive preferred \u2014 we\u2019ll give it back). Formats accepted: .mov, .mp4, 720 or 1080p preferred.<\/p>\n

Please include the following<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

>Your name & address
\n>Email & phone number
\n>Movie title & runtime<\/p>\n

You can also send your film to us with Dropbox<\/a> (if it's under 2 GB). Send it to steve@ragtagcinema.org<\/a><\/p>\n

Please send an email to Steve with the above information, too. (We're using the free version of DB and we don't have a lot of space so we want to make sure we got it.)<\/p>\n

We hope to get acceptance emails out at least a week before the screening.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

You have to live in Mid-Missouri. You should plan on attending, if you can.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking for films no longer than 11 minutes. Though, if you have a 20-minute movie that you think is awesome, send it in and we\u2019ll take a look at it. And if you\u2019d like to submit a clip from your feature or work-in-progress, that\u2019s fine too. (Please don't think of the 11-minute runtime as a goal for your filmmaking process. Your film should be as long or short as it needs to be to tell your story. We love three-minute movies!)<\/p>\n

You can submit multiple films.<\/p>\n

Your film should be appropriate for a general audience...an R rating is fine.<\/p>\n

Showtime:<\/p>\n

The TBD'd November screening is free and open to the public<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Accepted filmmakers will be put on a guest list with a +1.<\/p>\n

There will be a discussion and Q&A after the program.<\/p>\n
