Here we go, here we go! It's that season again: Awards Season. Oscar noms came out yesterday and we are pleased to congratulate Philomena and Nebraska for their honors, especially since they're still playing<\/a> here at Ragtag. Don't miss 'em. Inside Llewyn Davis was tragically overlooked in the Besties categories, picking up two nominations in the cinematography and sound departments. But, we don't need the Academy<\/a> to validate or love for Llewyn, no siree. Still, it's fun to look back on all the films we played last year who made the list (and some we might still play). These are marked in red<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A note on watching the Oscars this year:\u00a0 We usually at least try to show the ceremony live on our screens. This year, however, because of the Winter Olympics, the Oscars and True\/False will coincide. So, we're planning on having a watch event at The Blue Note. Should be a lot of fun. Stay tuned.<\/p>\n

And we usually play some of the Oscar shorts here at Ragtag. So once they've been collected and packaged, we'll let you know.<\/p>\n
