Wells's unprecedented, <a title=\"IMDb!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0028358\/?ref_=sr_1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">super-ambitious 1936 sci-fi film<\/a> that chronicles the rise and fall and rise again of mankind. The acting is sometimes dated in a long-winded histrionic kinda way, but it's worth watching for its historic importance to British cinema \u2014 the rising competition with Hollywood 'n' such.
