Italian Film Festival USA\u00a0 We'll be showing four FREE films from this traveling fest during the weekend of the 14th and 15th (two a day).

Into Paradiso (2010)<\/p>\n

Kung Fu Nights\u00a0 Dan Halsted from Portland's Shaolin Film Archive will be visiting us for two days with some kickass 70s & 80s grindhouse kung fu on 35mm. Not to be missed. Free for members!
\nThursday the 19th we'll have a grindhouse trailer collection and The Mystery of Chess Boxing<\/a>.
\nFriday the 20th: Eight Diagram Pole Fighter <\/a>and The Bastard Swordsman<\/a>.

Casa de mi Padre<\/a>\u00a0 Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal, Diego Luna and Will Ferrell. Will has to save his father's ranch, fight drug lords and speak a whole lotta Spanish. This one's gonna be a lot of fun.

Miss Bala<\/a>\u00a0 We've been trailering<\/a> this for a few weeks and it looks like it's going to be awesome. Another Mexican drug movie. This time produced by Gael and Diego. This is my pick for the month.<\/p>\n

The City Dark<\/a>\u00a0 (Not to be confused with Dark City) From Ian Cheney, one of the writers of King Corn<\/a> (great doc, by the way). A documentary about light pollution. This'll probably be here for two days only so see it while you can. Great poster:

We Need to Talk About Kevin<\/a>\u00a0 It's finally coming! The story of a mother and her psychotic son. Scored by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood. Peter Bradshaw's 5\/5 review<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Innkeepers<\/a>\u00a0 For fans of House of the Devil. From horror director Ti West, who wrote and directed one of the pieces of V\/H\/S, maybe the most infamous<\/a> film of this year's True\/False.<\/p>\n

Small Pond<\/a>\u00a0 We'll have a one-night screening of this homegrown film from Josh Slates about disaffected Shakespeare's employees.<\/p>\n

Boy<\/a>\u00a0 The second feature from Taika Waititi, director of Eagle vs Shark<\/strong> and sometime director\/writer of Flight of the Conchords<\/strong>. New Zealand in the 80s. A father and son reunite. A search for a bag of money.<\/p>\n

The Yellow Sea<\/a>\u00a0 From Korean director Hong-jin Na (see also The Chaser<\/strong>). A cabdriver is given an alluring proposition from a hitman. I hear this is awesome.
