{"id":1825,"date":"2012-01-13T16:01:58","date_gmt":"2012-01-13T22:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ragtagfilm.com\/blog\/?p=1825"},"modified":"2012-01-13T16:01:58","modified_gmt":"2012-01-13T22:01:58","slug":"notes-from-the-attic-whos-afraid-of-virginia-woolf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ragtagcinema.org\/notes-from-the-attic-whos-afraid-of-virginia-woolf\/","title":{"rendered":"Notes from the attic: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We recently watched <a title=\"IMDb!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0061184\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?<\/a> (1966) in our movie club and I was going to mention Roman Polanski's <a title=\"IMDb!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1692486\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carnage<\/a>, another film based on a play about two contentious couples, but it looks like we're not getting Carnage after all. So it goes. Though, with all respect for Carnage, it's probably a hushed whimper compared to the savage WAoVW.<br \/>\nI have yet to see a marriage on film as intense, biting and, well, crazy as portrayed by Liz Taylor and Richard Burton (really married at the time). This is one of my all-time favorites.
