Before I tell you about January, let me remind you that My Week with Marilyn<\/strong> opens Friday, December 23. I know it's been all doom and gloom lately here at Ragtag (murderous cults & apocalypses, financial and worldly), but I'm hoping Marilyn will be a bit of Hollywood fun, as we'll see her onset at Laurence Olivier's The Prince And The Showgirl.

Now, here's what we're trying to lock down for January:<\/p>\n

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 Based on John le Carr\u00e9's 1974 spy novel (the first in the Karla Trilogy). It's been adapted<\/a> for the screen before, but I'm sure this 2011 version will be excellent. Great story, great cast, and it's from the director who brought us one of the best vampire films in the last few years--Let the Right One In (Tomas Alfredson). A five-star Bradshaw review<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Carnage<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 Roman Polanski's new film about two couples and their brawling children. This looks like fun.<\/p>\n

A Dangerous Method<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 From David Cronenberg. Michael Fassbender's Carl Jung against Viggo Mortensen's Sigmund Freud.<\/p>\n
