To be precise, it was February 14, 2020 that we began counting down the days to this particular film\u2019s release in July of that year. However, it would be within the course of a month that dates would lose their relevance altogether. We closed our doors, re-opened them \u2014 July became October for a time, 2020 became 2021, and a second October became November.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To say that we\u2019ve been anticipating Wes Anderson\u2019s newest production would be an understatement, and now,\u00a0<em>just shy of<\/em>\u00a0twenty-two months later,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ragtagcinema.org\/films\/2006\" target=\"_blank\">The French Dispatch<\/a>\u00a0opens at our humble cinematheque this Friday.\u00a0<br>Join us, won\u2019t you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ragtagcinema.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/15R5_VT323_263625-700x513.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10598\"\/><figcaption>Stephen Park in the film THE FRENCH DISPATCH. Photo Courtesy of  Searchlight Pictures. \u00a9 2020 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation All Rights Reserved<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On a different thread and on a different screen, we are proud to present the hometown premiere of University of Missouri\u2019s Filmmaker-in-Chief, our friend, collaborator, and nonfiction provocateur Robert Greene\u2019s\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ragtagcinema.org\/films\/2011\" target=\"_blank\">Procession<\/a>\u00a0at the Missouri Theatre on Monday, November 8th.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film is a radical experiment in filmmaking process and, indeed, in therapy, as Greene directly collaborates with six male survivors of sexual assault at the hands of\u00a0Catholic priests and clergy to confront trauma and lived experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following its world premiere at Telluride in September,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ragtagcinema.org\/films\/2011\" target=\"_blank\">Procession<\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>began touring with Greene, stopping at home in Columbia between Los Angeles and New York.
